Extracting values from text using a regular expression
This calculator uses regular expressions to select lines from a large block of text.
This calculator is a more versatile version of the Email Finder and The Phone Number Extractor calculators. Unlike the others, it allows you to manually enter a regular expression to extract matching items from the text. Additionally, to simplify input, the calculator is linked to the Regular Expressions reference guide, enabling you to select from a set of predefined regular expressions. Currently, the guide includes three regular expressions for finding phone numbers, email addresses, and Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) within the text. If you need any other regular expressions, please leave a request in the comments.
An output format option has also been added: results can be displayed either as a comma-separated list or as a list where each value appears on a new line.
